Oh brother squirrel
Your tail, my hair
We are one
Yet I must eat you
This mullet haiku was from a nice little mullet sidebar in the local fishwrap today. I hadn't realized that James Polk was the first American president to wear a mullet (1845).

I didn't know you were in Norman this past week, my condolences.
An oldie, but goodie.

Anyone who denies ever having a mullet at one time in their life is a liar.
In my defence I played on my High School's hockey team back in the mid eighties. Back then, in Canada, we called it a 'hockey head'.

I don't think me or the middle brother had one, but my youngest brother had one when he was 5 (in 1992), it even had a small pony tail in the middle that went longer than the rest of it. What the hell were my parents thinking?
No mullet here. I did have a mop for a long time.

If nrc had had a mullet, it would have been an ironic mullet.

My mullet was a compromise with the 'rents. I had a garage band in 6th grade and wanted to grow my hair long, but they said "only the back, the front stays short". that lastest until 8th grade when they could'nt control anything I did let alone my hair. :D
To me it was just long hair. I didn't hear of the word "mullet" until I was an adult (except the fish)

My Sis-in-law, the one with the short hair, comfy shoes and short fingernails  called it a "dyke doo", long b4 I heard of mullet.
