Team Wins Inaugural Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes "It's All in the Finish" Color & Design Award
Indianapolis, IN (April 13, 2006) - CTE Racing - HVM's appearance is all new in 2006 and the team debuted their new style along with their talented new driver line-up in front of more than 180,000 roaring fans at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach last weekend.
Having announced their partnership with actor/comedian Cedric "The Entertainer" prior to the final round of the 2005 Champ Car World Series in Mexico City last November, the team promised a new look for 2006 and appeared at Long Beach last weekend in their new charcoal grey, red, orange and yellow livery.
A panel of judges from Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes, the new official Automotive Finishes Sponsor of the Champ Car World Series, reviewed each team at Long Beach to determine the best color, design, gloss and overall appearance. CTE-HVM's bright new design caught the attention of the judges, who awarded the inaugural "It's All in the Finish" award to the team.
Congrats to the team--the cars really looked sharp at Long Beach; you could definitely pick them out of the crowd! Was this Paintergeek's work?
