Those are usually not very accurate, alot of forums get rushed by packets, spyders or somthing bumping that number up for a few seconds. Somone can explain it better then I do.

This was discussed in another thread (different than the one SOG posted). IIRC, it was due to search spiders, which visited here due to a cross-linked thread.
