When I lived in Scotland I had an opportunity to visit his grave in Duns. It was an indication of the man that they listed Farmer ahead of Grand Prix driver in his professions...

I beleive it was Chris Amon who said after hearing of Jim's death:
He was our leader. If this happened to him what chance to the rest of us have?

Jim Clark was the last true gentleman racer. After him came Jackie Stewart's "Racing is a Business" brigade ...

Stand him in the middle of the current crop of "F1 drivers" and you'd still be able to pick out the genuine article even if you didn't know who he was.

We'll never see his like again.
