I'd watch those cars if that cool looking air intake was turned into a rocket launcher. Backmarker won't move over? KABOOM! Can't make the pass for the win? BLAMO!
Now that would fill the stands. Oh, and some oil slicks out of the back of the car to spin people out and numbers that change to confuse your competitors.

Blame the hours upon hours of Speed Racer and Wacky Racers as a 5 year old. My first exposure to racing left a long lasting impression. Hell, I still have a crush on Penolope Pitstop.
