Nope wrong plane, Me 109s were V-12s, you want the Fw 190, 14 cylinder two row radials.

The Stuart tanks used a radial engine. Dunno 'bout ALL the Shermans. Some used a V8.

Seems like the radial engine in a small german car trend is going around.
This case comes from California. The engine was made to be used in light tanks during WWII. Some were later fitted with a propellor and used to keep crops from freezing by mixing the air.

My apologies for a Facebook video in the youtube thread.
Home video taken at Kar Kraft in 1969. Kar Kraft did special engineering projects for Ford in the '60s, including construction of all Boss 429s. Plenty of high performance exotica. Check out the mid-engine Mach 1 prototype at 2:40, and an, umm, unusual Boss 429-powered Mustang at 4:30.

That was the LID (Low Investment Drivetrain) Mustang with the B9 in back. The idea was to do the swap for as little $$$ as possible, with an eye towards production  . In the end it wasn't quite cheap enough. Seems like I remember hearing that some Toronado bits were involved, which would certainly be consistent with the funky hubcaps. Supposedly it was diverted from the crusher by the proprietor of the contracted wrecking yard and survives to this day, sans drivetrain.
I've heard rumors about it being reassembled over the last couple of years.
I guess the "rising from the dead" part wasn't flashy enough?

Over here you're more likely to have your dash cam stolen than capture someone pulling an insurance scam. For now...
Tragic footage of that 747. It does look like a big load shift - extreme nose-up attitude and a big stall. That beast tried it hardest to keep pulling but once that wing starts to dip... :(

Shatner had some mammoth poo piles at that time. Though I consider his Has Been CD to be one of the more brilliant albums of all time... Though it took me a long time to decide if it was a spoof or authentic or that the spoof WAS what was authentic. Hence why it is brilliant.. IMO.

When I lived on Lake Superior I'd wake up some mornings and the wind would sometimes have piled up 80+ foot mountains of ice on the the shore. Amazingly, if the wind shifted just enough and you left and returned, the mountain might be gone in a matter of a few minutes with hardly a trace.
The first few times that happened to me I began to question my sanity... or my recreational drug of choice. ;)

What are the odds of that?
Saw the story on that - evidently the truck swerved to avoid someone changing into his lane and went off the road. Evidently the driver was unhurt. Very fortunate that there was nobody in the way on the cross road.
