Here's a vid some of motorsports biggest heroes... Hunt, Lauda, Andretti, Reutemann, Villeneuve, Tambay, Regazzoni, Depailler and Lafitte who kindly let's us ride along for a few laps during what I think is friday practice...

The fight for the WDC was between the Lotus teammates Mario and Ronnie...

On Sunday due to IRL management levels of stupidity, the last rows of cars are still on their way onto the grid when the starter lets the field go... Riccardo Paterese gets a flyer forcing Hunt to veer left into Petersons Lotus and mayhem ensues... the following day the world of racing has lost one of it's most talented raw speed drivers...

But during friday practice all is still well... and the preparations for the race is ongoing... and we get to ride with Lafitte and listen to the glorious sounds of Matra, Ford, Ferrari, Alfa-Romeo...

This video taken last Thursday at Pill in Italy's Val Passiria is astounding. This tiny hamlet is located circa 10 kilometers from Rabenstein... What flows past the houses is an ice river in spate, unstoppable, but fortunately no one was harmed... At present another 20 - 50cm of snow are expected and with the road to Rabenstein officially closed to traffic, it's clear that these are difficult times in the Dolomites.

Okay, right around the 1:18 mark there's a guy who is doodling around northwest England over the water between England and Ireland. WTF was all that about?

Anglesey airport is an RAF training base on the west coast of England. The flight paths seem to originate and return to a location near it. The back and forth "doodles" may be training flights. Also, the air space around the doodles seems to be empty of other air traffic. That could be the result of restricted air space.

According to the internet, the RAF uses BAE Hawks for their trainers.
