For those of you with EA's F1 2002 (or those thinking about getting it), check out Version 2 of the highly rated 80's-era F1 Turbo mod. It's an free, downloadable add-on (just like the sportscar mod, the upcoming ChampCar mod, etc...). I never installed the original Turbo mod (not enuf time to play with it), but it was given rave reviews from everyone who tried it.
You can get more info at:

Warlock!, do you know if these cars have different driving dynamics than the cars that come with the original game?
Cool stuff - thanks for the pics - may try it out.

Yup... Apparently they tweaked the **** out of the physics to the original. New tire grip, downforce, engine power (even turbo-lag)... the whole schmear.

The turbo lag on the real cars was insane. You had to hit the gas going into the turn so the power came on at the exit.
Tooo bad there is no link to download them... :(

I might buy this just for the opportunity to punt Cheever into the harbor at Monaco.

Sorry, man... Evidently I forgot to tell you that it hasn't been released yet. I'm guessin it'll be within a month, knowing the way these guys work on a project (i.e., all their spare time devoted to this mod).
