Turns out he has been an alcoholic for the last year or two.
He resigned yesterday.

The man just flushed a ~20 year highly successful career down the toilet

Typical. It's not been but a couple months since the head of the OLCC (Oregon Liquor Control Commission) was forced to step down after a DUI.

What is it about those people that want to tell us, or worse regulate, how the rest of us live that they don't feel compelled to meet the same standard?

Maybe they should start hiring people who are pro-DUI, as they wont get caught.

And many of you probably know that MADD founder Candy Lightner (who's daughter was killed by a drunk driver) was also arrested a few years back for DUI. You just can't make this stuff up, folks.
