Iowa is tied for North Dakota for the lowest at 3%, not too shabby. I am curious how they calculate these numbers because when I started high school the class was made up of 299 students, but when it came time for graduation only 262 students made the cut. There must be other things taken into consideration, because I went to a suburbian school and one of the consistently best districts in the state of Iowa.

According to the Star article, the study was based on records of the number of dropouts reported on the 2000 Census.

I remember reading 15 years ago or so that Iowa students had the highest SAT's in the nation or something like that.

I think it has something to do with all the Asian kids that come to Iowa for grad school because they can't find real jobs. :gomer:
