Video from a camera mounted on one of the SRBs. You get to ride it all the way back down to the water.

that is super cool.

I especially like the seagull that got the shock of his life when the SRB hit the water.

Am I seeing retro/stablizer rockets firing on the SRB on decent? Seem to be going off even when under the parachut canopy. I had no idea.

I'd like to see the external fuel tank camera as it burns up in the atmosphere.

That video is awesome. I agree with insomniac, only thing better would be a reverse angle like that on top fo the fuel tank. Oh man that would be awesome to see the boosters seperate and then the shuttle seperate.

How did you find that vid?

Very

I was surprised how long it tumbled before (apparently) the chute opened. Also, that it stands upright in the water. Although I suppose that makes sense realizing that it's a big enclosed tube with a heavy bit at the bottom.

I think the flames you see near splash-down are just residual flames. According to the sites I've looked at it's all done with multi-stage drogue and parachutes. When you see the flames the final chute has probably opened causing the SRB to swing around and burp out some flames.

They have video of the external fuel tank separation:

I'd like to see the feed until the camera is destroyed.

I also found:
