View Full Version : Best College Fight/Stadium Song

So since its almost college football season what's your favorite fight song or statdium song. Last night we went to a bar in Baltimore (go O's- shut out the Yanks 5-0 last night, at the game, it was awesome...just had to throw that in) called Howl at the Moon. They had a bidding war for what song they would play next and someone dropped a C-Note for Sweet Caroline and another was dropped for the Redskins Fight song. So thats the inspiration for this thread.

Well, I'm obviously biased... :)

I don't profess to have visited them all, but I've been to a few. The Shoe must be considered in the top 10 if not top 5 for venues....it's unique and it rocks (most of the time). When TBDBITL takes the field, the electricity is palpable...if you don't feel it, then you don't have a pulse (tho some fans have been accused of that ;) ).

It's been a few years, but Camp Randall has a great band entrance, but the stadium was lacking some back then. UM has a crater. Yuck. Beaver Stadium (PSU) is pretty nice as well. Neyland Stadium, ND stadium, Tiger Stadium (aka Death Valley), Jordan-Hare, Legion Field, Sandford Stadium, The Swamp (Florida Field)...Oh yeah, and the ya got something called Kyle Field down in Corpus. :gomer:

I would rank the top five as follows:

1. ND
2. Neyland
3. The Shoe
4. Death Valley
5. Beaver/Swamp/Kyle

The Swamp is the loudest. There is no doubt about that. 40,000 drunk friends on 1 half of the stadium, and 50,000 drunk alumni on the other.

The way The Swamp is built is just made to bottle in the noise. No doubt UF wins that.

I don't know who has the best fight song, but I like, "We don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan." :rofl:

re: fight song....the obvious choices are ND, UM, USC, OSU :gomer:

Bands: TBDBITL and Florida A&M hands down. :thumbup:

bands: nothing comes close to most of the SWAC bands

the nebraska sea of red is cool, as is the 'shoe, LSU's death valley isn't as loud as advertised imo, it's a great experience though. kyle field is a dump however, a craptastic stadium in every sense of the word that looks like a ginormous concrete tackle box.
