The IRL IndyCar season shrunk by three races this season, not that its newly crowned champ seemed to mind.

"Even if we had five races, it would still feel like a season," says Team Penske's Sam Hornish Jr., who seized the series title at Chicagoland on Sunday, the final race of the series' revamped 14-race schedule. "I felt like this schedule was well suited for me to win."
