Kalkhoven to buy Elan Technologies One rumor making the rounds is that Kevin Kalkhoven, perhaps in conjunction with his Champ Car partner Gerald Forsythe, may buy Elan Motorsports Technologies from Don Panoz if the details could be worked out. Panoz is rumored to seriously be looking at retirement.

Hmmm, Interesting

So how does the IRL chassis thing work? What happens if there are suddenly retrofit kits for the G Force that makes it compatable with the a Cosworth? What if when the new IRL specs are released Panoz presents a new chassis based on the DP01?

TG going to do what he did to Penkse and summarily reject it? He might, but given the climate he might have a harder time doing it with a straight face.

I doubt either is the driving force for KK, but is consistent with a strategy of controlling the pieces to keep CC safe while keeping open both a carrot and stick on TG.

Is Panoz itself for sale? maybe he can get a package deal. I could use a cheaper Esperante perhaps with a 2.65L single turbo:eek:
