View Full Version : FIA Legal GT2 Viper from Dodge Europe
Headed to an ALMS race near you in 2007 if the ACO homologates it as well?

The more the merrier. I'll believe it when it hits the track at Sebring.

FIA GT2 and ACO GT2 rules still aren't identical, and apparently this Viper falls somewhere in the cracks. 2008, perhaps, but very unlikely before then.

Why couldn't the Don think of a way to let both FIA and ACO cars into ALMS. It's not like it will hurt the top category, but it couldn't hurt but make the bottom two categories more exciting. Corvette would probably nix that, considering they couldn't get their first win against the original Viper until it was five years old.

Audi wins everthing, so WGAF? :gomer:
As Monkey would say: "Cars on track!" :gulp:

They sort of did with the Maserati. However, they need to be careful not to piss off the ACO too often or they will lose their license to use the name Le Mans. The ACO is very proud of their rules by the way and take them(selves) very seriously.

Official word seems to be that it won't even be in FIA-GT 'til at least 2008. It'll run Spanish GT only in 2007.
