Since I had the day off I took a run up to the mile to stop at the ticket office and do a little diecast shopping. Tickets will be shipped sometime next week. They are still at the printer. Since it's the 100th anniversary of the Mile the track is having a fancier commerative ticket printed. Ticket sales were said to be going reasonably well now that the snow has gone and people are starting to think summer. A section of the track was eluminated for the media to hype the upcoming race recently. The new grandstands are enormous compared to the old ones. I asked about my Winner's Circle discount since I didn't actually have my new membership number at the time of my purchase. The discount was applied. There still appears to be some construction taking place, the old score board is still up but it looks like timing and scoring may have a new facility(?). The lit track will not be tested by cars until race weekend.
