Now you mention it, I went looking for it and see it in one of my many email addresses.
What I don't like is "our records indicate that you recently watched a Grand Prix race on television." I could understand if it was Race Director, but they can trace me down to TV watching? That's scary.

Did you enter any of the sweepstakes? If you knew the password then it would be a reasonable guess that you watched the race.

got it myself and came on to start this thread.... at least i'm not the only one.
Dear Race Fan:
Our records indicate you recently watched a Grand Prix auto race on television. We would like you to participate in a brief survey about that race. We are interested gathering feedback on your most recent experience with a Grand Prix racing event.
To take part in our survey, please click on the link below. You will be directed to the initial page of the questionnaire. It should take you no longer than 10 minutes to complete the survey.
http://websurveyor.net/l.dll/JGs50D950F950lPGD9U80763J.htm
For completing the survey, you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a free Champ Car logo briefcase / messenger bag (see photo below.)
If at any time while taking the survey you have any questions, please contact technical support at survey@consumerinsightsinc.com or toll-free at 1-866-952-1600 ext.2.
The survey will be open for responses until Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. EDT.
We appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Chris Stommel

well, I just finished it. Its a CC survey, asking about what you like/dislike about CC races and the broadcasts, with a heavy lean on the broadcast. What you'd like to see more of/less.
Then some standard questions about the sponsors you remember seeing during the race, and will you buy ford vehicles etc.etc.
you don't have to sign up for the prize if you don't want to give your info out.

OK, if you say so. :D I figured since they called it a "Grand Prix" they were specifically talking about Surfers.

edit: Although I prefer to call it "preparing for all eventualities."
They don't give you a chance to whine about the coverage, really. They ask what's GOOD about it, but I kept waiting for the what's BAD question.

Well, they did ask how you liked the graphics and what you would like to see LESS OF during the broadcasts. I used that for my somewhat subdued blasts.

I got my comments in. There was the write in question about what you liked/disliked about CC and its broadcasts. I wrote a decently long comment there.

Did you enter the Bridgestone contest they ran each week during the broadcasts? That would tell them you're watching. Otherwise it looks like you have an unknown big brother

Got the same e-mail today, filled it out. In the section where it asked what I'd like to see less of, I put Derek Daly.

If only we had the flirty smilie. :D
OK, I'm logging out. Definitely flirting with the top of graph today. :\
Wow they must really has an assload of those messenger bags left. They gave them out to everyone at the CCIC dinner at RA.
Yeah, but where do we get to say that no announcers could do a good job with a blind feed? They're trying to figure the video out on the fly.

I took the survey. I already have one of those bags so if I win it I'll give it to a friend.

Done, I asked for more international coverage. You know invite the whole world to see the races on tv. I believe TV Azteca was doing a decent job. Hope they broadcast the races next year. We need coverage on open TV

I got one too.
It seemed to focus on the Denver race for some reason.
I asked for pieces where they go into the crowd and interview fans.
