Absolutely great news. And puts NASA much more in the science business as they should be.
Just an aside... My uncle is an aerospace engineering professor at Columbia. He worked on the design of the hubble platform to keep it solidly pointed at whatever its pointed at.
As a kid, in the mid-late 70s (early in the design phase, it was the first I'd heard of the project) he came to visit on Xmas or some such holiday and he was trying to work out a problem. He invited me to help and we built a bunch of models out of my little brother's Tinkertoys to test some physics principles. I kid you not. Tinkertoys helped to build the Hubble.

I'm working on that. :D However, I'm reminded about a bud that got fixed, and the nurse helping the doc passed out (her first procedure), so the doc attended to the nurse before finishing the procedure...in the meantime, the local started to wear out, so my buddy could feel it towards the end of the procedure. :eek:
