View Full Version : Dyson Racing Porsches
LMP2 Spyders in ALMS. The "customer cars" envisioned by Porsche from the beginning. They are promised equality with Penske Racing but Penske will remain the development team. Good luck on that one. Hope Lola/Courage/Acura/Cosworth can keep P1 breathing.

The P2 Acuras, you mean? People are saying the Cosworths are DOA, too.
That said, I'd rather watch 2 R10's race each other than a field of 20 crapotypes.

Screw LMP1 and the coupes that it will spawn. ;)
I'd settle for a strong field of P2 cars and the GTs for the moving chicanes with more races longer than 2ยบ:45' That, and a P2 sprint race without the air restrictors.

I'm convinced you guys can't enjoy ALMS without bashing Grand-Am...

So, like I've been saying all along, they're sick and tired of getting the crap kicked out of them by a megabucks factory team in P1... oops, hey, now they get megabucks factory teams in P2, too.
Why are they going to bother having a P1 class in 2007? Might as well just hand Audi the trophy every race when the green flag drops.

So it is going to be the newly orange Autocon #12 Lola EX257 AER vs two Audi R10s? :irked:
Well, apparently there won't be a pair of Courage-Cosworths afterall.
Comments on the big time sportscar boards suggest that idea is dead.

Oh, there will probably be a Creation, a 2nd Autocon museum-piece Lola and quite possibly someone else getting spanked in Dyson's '06 Lolas.
This just reinforces my belief that, had the ACO kept the 900 & 675 rules and simply combined the cars into 1 class with 2 different approaches, things would have worked out much better.
