Europe 2008 Greek Grand Prix
Planned for the second week of June 2008, the Greek Grand Prix is set to be contracted and approved by Champ Car in the very near future. Champ Car is, of course, the same people who race here in Houston. Expansion outside the United States isn’t irregular; just to Greek soil is. So this event will be a Greek — as well as a Champ Car — first.

The proposed layout at the airport along the coast looked long, wide and safe enough to let champcars show well. Now, for that local Greek kid...:)

I can see I will be planning a trip with the wife to see her ancestors and a little sailing among the Greek Isles:)

We're supposed to watch for Vasilis Zahos in Atlantics, '07. Is he in? Wants to be ready for Athens '08. Race promoter Ms. Vaso Gizikis says "It is a spactacular setting, you won't believe how beautiful it is. (2.56 mi. airport circuit) All of Greece is behind this project and we will do it with pride." Sounds confident to me!:)
