Sebring Open Test, Jan 23rd

Anybody know if the "Open Test" at Sebring on Jan 23rd is actually open to the public? I will be a Mickey World next week and maybe I can sneak away for the afternoon.

ALMS AND CHAMP CAR WINTER TEST JAN. 22-24

Sebring International Raceway will host the 2007 American Le Mans Series "Wheels Down Winter Test" January 22-24. The event will be open daily from 8 am - 5 pm. Admission will be $10 per day (the paddock and Green Park will not be open to the public). No overnight parking or camping will be permitted. In addition, Champ Car will be holding a special winter test as teams receive their new Panoz chassis. This will allow race fans to see many of the world's best open-wheel racing teams preparing for the 2007 season. Paul Tracy, Sebastien Bourdais and Justin Wilson will be among the Champ Car stars in attendance.

Couldn't hurt to email a few of the teams and ask about getting in. I may do that when they come to Houston to test.

We'll be at MSR Houston on February 12th and 13th. Teams might be there individually at other times, but those two days should have quite a few teams running.

PT says a 52 in 4 laps was easy but 49s are what to look for. Likes the car. Looks like 15 will test. Conquest PR (not MI-Jack/Conquest) says they hope to be ready to run by Houston test... with new sponsor deal?. Is Mi-Jack in bed with Haas and Mari? Ahhhh...the Mi-Jack Busch car.

It's 15 minutes into Session 4 and Legge is P1 with 51.060, having just nipped Bourdais' 51.307 that was fastest in Session 3. Somebody's been eating her Wheaties. :)

Hmmmm. The one pic I saw yesterday of Legge's car was a distant shot and I must have missed the blue on black. Blue isn't exactly a color I look for on a Coynemobile.
