Tuning carbs

Hey,I know alot of the folks here have many years experience with cars and racing..

Anyway - I am after advice/information on setting up twin dellorto's for my lotus 7 replica

I got twin 45 dellorto side draughts (DHLA45) on the side of a 18RG toyota twin cam..

I am wondering about putting on Ram tubes (trumpets) on the carbs.. what sort of length should the ram tubes be? and the sort of filters to go on it?

Any advice, or anything to point me in the right direction..
