Good news-bad news.

Hi Team, the good news is we have a Kiwi in Champ Cars again with a Kiwi sponsor and it made the sports news! Quite a good item, mainly on Matt and his career, his crash in IRL Lites or whatever they call it and his love of OW and dislike for ovals.

The sponsor, 42below got a good coverage so I wrote a "thank you" to them.

Hi Team, congratulations and thanks for sponsoring Matt Halliday in Champ Cars! I know the racing forums are clamouring to find out about 42below and what it means for Champ Cars.

I became a fan of CART in 1997 when we got digital SKY TV and saw a race Live. I was hooked. Since then I reckon I've spent over 50 grand on my passion, watching, reading and taking my family each year to Surfers to have a fun filled family holiday. Yeah, I'm already booked for this October. :)

Without going in to too many details there is a split in OWR but I really believe Champ Cars to be the superior series and you will do well with your sponsorship. I certainly hope so! Now, all I have to do is badger SKY (again) about getting Champ Cars back on NZ TV, after all, we now have a KIWI in the series with a great sponsor!

Way to go 42below and thank you.

The bad news, called SKY TV (before this came out) and they have no plans to show Champ Cars this year. Bugger.

Anyhow, while there is life there's hope! Any other Kiwis here, get off yer Ars* and start writing to 42 and SKY. Please? ;)

I was up at 3am for an early start at work ( I am on call this week, so we do all the early starts) get a sleep in tomo until 3:30am!!
