In Praise of My Driving

I drove my 11 year old daughter and 8 year old son over to their cousins this after noon. It a nice drive on twisty country road through open farmland.

As I'm prone to do I worked a bit on brake points, downshifts, hitting the apex, and feathering the gas, even if it is at only about 4/10ths (kids in the car and all)

After one particularly well right hand 90 degee corner I turn to my kids and had the following conversation:

Me: I hit that one almost perfectly

Melissa: (Big grin) Yeah!

Nick: (giggling quietly) Yeah, it tickled my penis.

Me: It tickled your penis?

Nick: Yeah, it kinda feels funny inside my penis.

Me: Nick, that has to the nicest thing anyone has ever said about my driving

Melissa: GIRL IN THE CAR!!! GIRL IN THE CAR!!!

Nick: I talk about my penis with Mom

Melissa: Duh, I'm not Mom!

Me: Thank you Nick.


I relayed this to may wife when I got back and she asked "How long before you post that on OC?"
