So if global warming is too much, we now have a chance to move to another planet and start over. Who's with me? We can start a new Open wheel series that doesn't suck when we get there.
Potentially Habitable Planet Found:

The planet is just the right size, might have water in liquid form, and in galactic terms is relatively nearby at 120 trillion miles away. But the star it closely orbits, known as a "red dwarf," is much smaller, dimmer and cooler than our sun.
Only 20.5 lightyears away. Which may be kinda far, since we can't travel a lightspeed, let alone multiple ones at once, however, that still is relatively down the street
Found: The New Earth

It's got the same climate as Earth, plus water and gravity. A newly discovered planet is the most stunning evidence that life - just like us - might be out there.

I find it pretty interesting that a red dwarf is the sun. The 'new earth' is much closer to the red dwarf than we are, which is has to be due to the lower level of heat generated.
pretty interesting.

You should move to the planet those alien dudes from Space Jam were from, I am sure they can create a powerhouse football bandwagon for you to jump onto by stealing the talent of a bunch of good football players here.

They say it might not spin so there could be a light side and dark side as well.

You're gonna be OLD.
And you'll weigh almost 50% more!

So this isn't a pre-season BCS rankings thread?
I didn't know the BCS allowed intergalactic football schools.

Are you admitting that you saw Space Jam?
Scott Adams' take on new planet (http://dilbertblog.typepad.com/the_dilbert_blog/2007/04/cool_new_planet.html)
His link at the bottom about hyperspace theory is a very cool article, btw.
If there isn’t already life on Gliese 581 C, the bacteria and whatnot can evolve into zebras and {censored} over time
Are you admitting that you saw Space Jam?
Yes, I have. Many times. I even saw it before I had a child.

only when there is a playoff system.
My new team is THE Gliese State University. Go BACTERIUMEYES!!!!

I have too. Just wanted to give Cork some crap. ;) Not a bad movie at the time, though I don't think I'd watch it now.

His link at the bottom about hyperspace theory is a very cool article, btw. Indeed. Tell ya what, if they are gonna pulse a 25 Tesla field I'm going to want to be sitting here when they do it.
Years ago I was helping a physicist friend change some neodymium/iron/boron magnets and we succeeding in taking down the electrical mains for a 26 story office building. Folks got a little excited about that. He didn't help the situation when he explained to the authorities that arrived (with sirens) that if they insisted on removing the 10lb. magnets they would end up with cars stuck together...
