I know there are Su-27s doing back flips but they are more like out of control stunts, the nose on them just falls.

The F-22 looks in control under the whole loop. The pilot is pointing the nose where he wants it. Check out that thrust to it has to do those low speed maneuvers.

it maintains sufficient laminar flow and avoids separation to produce an incredible amount of lift in many tight maneuvers where it was impossible before. an excellent job by the aero guys. supposedly the pilots at Nellis are just blown away by it's performance capabilities in exercises.

the thrust vectoring obviously works great, too.

Simply amazing. It has a tighter turning radius than my old Ford Ranger.

It will continue to to get better with pilots learning how to best use it. Like a race car its performance is way above what the pilots can do

Air and Sea Show this weekend on the beach at Fort Lauderdale. F-22 demo as well, and I hope I get to see these manuvers.

I want to see the B1B as well. They aren't promising the Osprey this year, and the didn't show last year when they did, so who knows. Can't wait for the F-22 now, the F-22 and flyover was lame last year, but the heritage flight was pretty sweet.

You don't get an inch of room in with on the free parts of the beach. And inbetween all the VIP tents is where the Marines attack for the allied beach assult. Which is pretty kewl as well. We were supposed to go out on my friends boat on Saturday and then watch from the tent on Sunday, but the parents went to the Kentucky Derby instead. I'll take pictures and if the F-22 does anything special on Saturday, I'll get a video on Sunday.

Everybody's talkin' the 22 as an air superiority fighter, which is what it's designed to do and apparently is going to be very good at it...

What puzzles me is how nobody has mentioned that it appears to be the perfect aerial "sniper". You find out somebody's on a plane that you want gone, so you sneak a 22 (which basically can't be seen on radar) up on them and then the 22 jock sticks an AMRAAM up the target's ass. Wreckage all over the middle of the ocean, no witnesses, etc. It's like Yamamoto all over again.

that F-22 Demo was the SWEETEST thing i've ever seen.

Haven't found a good quality long version of it on youtube.

but if you search F-22 Fort, or F-22 Fort Lauderdale, it comes up with lots of vids. Pretty much the same show as Langley but about twice as long and seeing it in person is that much better.

watched it hammered from the vip tent sat., which was nice, and sunday from the ocean on a friends yacht.
