View Full Version : 182 mph Short Trackers
Flat out in the Iowa Corn Bowl. Sort of reminds me of those motorcycle guys in the steel cage at the circus. :tony:

What are the g-forces on Milka's sports bra? Oh, she's probably not going 182. :gomer:
Reading where the separation between P-1 and P-18 is not as large as the gap from P-18 to Milka!
Looky here:
Running Order: 1. #22 Foyt IV - 0.000 mph :: 2. #20 Carpenter - 0.000 mph :: 3. #5 Fisher - 0.000 mph :: 4. #15 Rice - 0.000 mph :: 5. #23 Duno - 0.000 mph
Apparently no helicopter at track has delayed practice for about 2 hrs. now and has been a godsend for the above futility seekers.

Marlboro should hand out flak jackets instead of hats at that one.

What did the IRL expect to happen on a 7/8 mile banked track? This may have replaced the CART fiasco at Texas at the top my "stupidest attempt to race on an inappropriate oval" list.
Only 10 cars finished. P10 was 77 laps down. :rofl:

Clearly* you folks haven't consulted TF, or you'd know that the tires were to blame.

But what other series would race in a cornfield in the middle of nowhere with only 25K seats? And what other oval can the IRL go to that they either aren't already at or tried and failed?
