He should be sentenced to eat Cheez Whiz while viewing a highlight reel of Paul Tracy's Career. That would straighten him up.

If you had included making him wash it all down with a bottle of 2 buck Chuck, I would have nominated you for Chief Steward. :D

Q: Are you ready for a change?
A: Yeah, I think I am, definitely. It’s been a while now and the (Champ Car) series is not doing so great. It comes to a point where basically I feel like we’re annoying just being contenders week in and week out. I don’t know exactly what it really is, but that’s they way they feel.
Q: Wait, you feel like you and your Newman/Haas/Lanigan tean is annoying Champ Car?
A: Yeah. You look at how they treat us compared to other drivers and sometimes it gets frustrating to see what (Robert) Doornbos did yesterday and basically goes unpunished and I put half a foot over the line and I get nailed. At some point it gets to you.
Last year with the Paul (Tracy) incident, it started and it's just not getting any better. It’s very much me, too. I’ve always been like that. I like to go for different challenges. It’s the way I am and I think if I have a really opportunity to do something different and real interesting, yeah, I will go for that.

Poor Bourdais. Must suck to win so much that people are sick of it. :)

Do something different? Since the F1 thing is'nt working out too well, how about becoming a truffle hunter?

Delusional doesn't even begin to describe his state of mind. Perhaps the shunt at Cleveland last year had more of an effect than was initially thought...

What a jerk, if everyone is'nt kissing his ass while he climbs the podium, he whines. Champcar teams and drivers this year are showing themselves capable of spanking him and he want's to cut and run..............hoist the white flag...............surrender............back to Europe............wonder how he will like paddling around the back of the F1 grid?

He's a top contender for an STR seat next season, they mentioned it yet again on the ITV broadcast... Brundle & Allen tend to have a very close ear to the ground.

Bourdais to NASCAR... you heard it here first! I thought of that too, but I doubt Cabs want to race in France and that sissy and fried chicken do not mix.

Strange that they called him the "The former F3000 champion who has been racing in America". No mention of the ChampCar wins.......

Actually I think he said "Americkar". ;)
They've talked before about his championships here though, but I doubt James Allen is all that acquainted with ChampCar.

Big whoop. Nothing like a ride with a top team, eh Jono? You can be his teamate if you gots the cash.
DISCLAIMER: BoreDay ain't bringing cash to the ride, which is why you need to top 'em up. :tony:

As you said, he isn't bringing cash, he's bringing talent.
Further, lots of drivers have started out at as far back as Minardi and ended up doing exceedingly well. Two-time champion Fernando Alonso springs to mind.
STR is better than Minardi was, in that there is a natural team to move to, the Red Bull team, whose car is designed by multi-championship car designer Adrian Newey.
Personally, if I had the cheque to give them, I'd rather be there than ChampCar, if I believed I had the talent to succeed... F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport, even the back of the grid is an honour beyond what most drivers ever get to experience.

Careful with that analogy:
"Two Buck Chuck" Chardonnay just won double gold medals at the Cali state fair in a blind tasting against all Chardonnays that were entered, regardless of price.
I would say to make Seb wash down the slice of "humble pie" with some Thunderbird...Just make sure it was a good "week"!

That would mean that like the movie theThe Terminator, The Ballad of Ricky Bobby will indeed be a preview of the future! :saywhat: :shakehead

IN GOOD STANDING: The jury is still out on standing starts in Champ Car, as far as Bourdais is concerned.
"I think it's a good thing and a bad thing," the Frenchman said. "Right now, it just seems to be very hard to police because all the cars are kind of creeping on the grid. So it's a little difficult to say false start, no false start. And that's a little bit of a problem.
"But I think the series is working on trying to find a system to stop the cars from moving at all, and then it's going to become a lot clearer if somebody makes a mistake at the start."

P4 today behind his rookie teammate. What will the F1 folks think of that. :D
Ah, forgot he gets to start P2 based on his fastest time in Q1 yesterday... still.
Nevermind, it's PeeTee's fault...
"We had a really good car in the 15 minutes (of qualifying practice), and it was going really well in the qualifying session. And just like Justin said, P.T. was just playing a little bit again in the last two laps and - well, pretty much the whole run, but the last two laps when it really mattered. And he backed up Bruno, and Bruno did me, and that was that. It was the last corner, so that ruined the last two laps. We had a 58.1 going on so it was a little frustrating obviously because the McDonald's team did a fantastic job and the car was great.

From RM's SPEED chat:
didn't bourdais jump start at mont-trem, why no penalty?
chris greene (miami, fl)
it didn't affect the outcome but Tony Cotman admitted afterwards he should have penalized Seabass.
