Sounding more like Bourdais is gone, or found, depending on one's point of view. Berger and Tost at STR are heaping praise on Bourdais saying he is just what they are looking for. Berger says "He has my support" and Tost said he is as fast as their current drivers after one test and the current drivers "need to improve." Sounds like the kiss of death for Speed. Meanwhile the quotes from Mateschitz make it sound like they want Sebastian Vettel also if he gets free from BMW. Not a bad thing for CC or Bourdais, really but would Vettel leave BMW to return to the Red Bull fold at this point?

AFAIK Vettel is a Red Bull driver on loan to BMW.

Interesting, on SPEED, they said BMW was shopping his services around for 2008.

Vettel is on the Red Bull Junior Team and he drove for Carlin Motorsports at the Hungaroring last weekend in the Renault World Series 3.5 race. He finished 3rd and is leading the championship. In his spare time he is test driving for BMW-Sauber F1:rolleyes:

I'd guess that his contract situation is rather complex.
