I'm so glad you posted this. I got it about a week ago and forgot to put it up. Amazing, eh?

Every year as a youngster we would make the family trek to the grandparents for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Along highway 15 going into Point of Rocks MD from Virgina (gorgeous country by the way) there was a barn that had a winged Super Bird in it that you could see from the road. ten years and I always anticipated seeing the car as we passed. It was strange when one year it was gone. I told my dad, "you see, all these years, we should have stopped". Someone got a deal.

What's the story behind it? Anyone know?
I'm assuming an eccentric collector who died alone and left it behind or something like that?

Answer is in Gnam's links. The owner isn't dead, he just decided to open it up and take some pictures.
