Andreas Wirth took last years PKV #12 Lola to "a new lap record" at the Assen TT Circuit besting Jos Verstappen's A1GP mark by nearly 4 seconds. More importantly noise levels for the turbo Cosworth were lower than the Moto GP bikes of Vermuelen and Hopkins and the A1GP car of Team Netherlands. Oh, and over 45,000 came to see the show!:eek:

there is a little more to that. Rizla Race Day is a pretty big event. Superkarts, BRL V6, Dutch Superbikes, German F3 and ADAC Touring Cars (and i think more) all race during the weekend.

Wirth was sure talking like a guy who wants back in CC. Said he could take another 4-5 secs. off with a little time. He only got 5 laps!

Wirth must have had a good reason to get that fast that quickly....

Maybe the incentives around him put a rocket in his pocket?

it was at RA in a tent. I suspect its on its way over there now, I think everything shipped yesserday.

it should have been in euro, not RA, hell they ahve't seen the DP01, been at RA 2 years in a row
