I don't know where that place might be but I can sure as hell guarantee you that it isn't here.

Why do all the cars go with the painted bumper now? Did older cars just shake off and look okay after scrapes?

Painted plastic is cheaper than chromed steel.
When big chrome makes a comeback, it'll be chromed plastic. Sorta like the interior of the Malibu.

Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets.

how many times has it happened to you?
me none
wife once
mother twice
brother twice
father once
Nobody left any information, all six times. You just get back to your car and find a fender/door/quarter panel caved in.

all that happened in Utah?
All in Salt Lake County and all in mall parking lots. I do not go to malls if humanly possible and if I do I park way out in the middle of nowhere. Thus my car has survived intact. The most common bit of damage has been creased doors and/or rear quarter panels by pickups/suvs swinging wide while pulling into/out of parking spots. You can tell they were truck based by the height of the crease.:shakehead

I love living in the city!
I love livin' in the city [x2]
My house smells just like the zoo,
It's chock full of **** and puke!
Cockroaches on the walls
Crabs crawlin' on my *****!
Ohh, but I'm so clean cut,
I just wanna **** some sluts!
I love livin' in the city [x2]
Spent my whole life in the city,
Where junk is king and the air smells s*****.
People pukin' everywhere.
Piles of blood, scabs and hair.
Bodies wasted in defeat,
People dyin' on the street,
But the suburban scumbags, they don't care,
Just get fat and dye their hair!
I love livin' in the city [x2]
I love livin' in the city
Yes I do!

Yeah, I hate how people park suburbans in spots that I feel uncomfortable putting my sedan in. I love it when you go to an old shopping center in some suburban neighborhoods with large parking spaces
