Ohio (for the shape), Maryland (for the design) and Virginia (for the dead guy) are my top three favs.

I read recently that PA wants to change their flag because the design is too unrecognizable.

The [Flag of California] is white with a wide red strip along the bottom. There is a red star in the upper left corner... There is speculation that the five-point star is a nod to the Republic of Texas...

Alaska, NM, AZ, MD are coolest to me. Great, distinctive and appropriate graphic design.

I hate to say it but TX is good too. Indiana too but second tier.

And I have a problem with Hawaii and MS. Sorry, you lost the war. Fix your flag.

Finally the Jersey flag doesn't look like that. In practice the yellow pigment they use bleaches out to a light pee color almost immediately.
