Suzanne Pleshette, the husky-voiced actress who redefined the television sitcom wife in the 1970s, playing the smart, sardonic Emily Hartley on “The Bob Newhart Show,” died Saturday at her home in Los Angeles. She was 70.

I really liked the Bob Newhart Show and even as a kid thought that Suzanne was a pretty cool wife to Bob. I caught a rerun not too long ago and it still holds up today. Not many of the 70's comedies do.
RIP.

She was a class act, and a very funny actress. As for the top picture above, I had no idea.

One of my favorite brunettes and brunettes are all that matter to me, hence Greek wife.
Never thought she had as much legs as in Spics foto though. Geez.
Anyway, this is not as much a tribute to her as Bob Newhart but in the local obit for her she was quoted about the finale for Newhart (not The Bob Newhart Show). Apparently, Bob told her of his plan for the final episode years in advance and told him, "If I'm in Istanbol, I'm coming back to shoot this".
If you don't recall, at the end of Newhart Bob wakes up in bed next to Suzanne in his old bedroom from the The Bob Newhart Show and says, "You won't believe the dream I just had. I was running this bed and breakfast in Vermont..."
Perhaps one of the best finales ever. :D

Fascinating: our paper had "If I'm in Khatmandu, I'm coming back for that." Someone is geographically challenged. :D
She was quite a gal. We'll miss her.
Very sad. Her goodness shone through whatever she was playing.

Turkey, Nepal, whatever. Neither well suited for three day weekend getaway packages. ;)
