View Full Version : Boris Said at the Bathust 1000.
He (Said) will, however, be racing this autumn in Australia, having agreed to contest the Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama, as well as the 'Sandown 500' - which will actually be held this year at Phillip Island - with Paul Morris Motorsport.
Story here (http://www.crash.net/motorsport/nascar/news/159026-0/said_targets_limited_programme_australia.html).
Paul Morris Motorsports is a self-funded back marker, so there no danger of Boris getting a win.
What's Boris's story? Can he steer. American drivers have not done so well at Bathurst in the past.... ;)

Boris is a road-course ringer.....and why t f would they refer to it as the sandown 500 at phillip island? the sandown 500 is dead....probably become a GT Championship event again.

He's just as American as his father Boris "Bob" Said, who also raced and actually won a non championship GP at Rouen in 1953 -- long before Gurney and Hill arrived courtesy of Ferrari.

Ron Fellows is Canadian. Maybe you're confusing the two.

Brake too. He's good and a good story. Worked very very hard to get started in racing. Slept in cars, gave lessons, lived on peanut butter. Eventually gave road racing lessons to Cup drivers and got their attention.

He has won the 2005 24 Hours Nürburgring plus a couple of Daytona 24 hous, so the Bathurst 1000 is going to be a snip.
Paul Morris is based on the Gold Coast. Boris is going to fit in like a finger in a glove. ;) :)
