In 1969, the day after watching Aldrin and Armstrong landed on the moon, I ventured off into the Ontario wilderness canoeing with my brother, father and uncle on an amazing 10 day trip.

On that trip my uncle introduced me to canned bacon. First and last time I had it.

And it was damn good!

But not good enough to consider when I'm not 150 miles from the real thing.

What good is it to open a can of vintage bacon and not post any tasting notes...? Did it cook up well? Was the smoke flavoring still intact? Did it crisp up nicely? Now we'll never know.... :( :gomer:
