Just wait until he races in Cabs. :gomer:
It gets even better, as the FIA might revoke the Spain races:

Is'nt this pretty typical behavior between countries, along the lines of soccer hooligans? At one of the USGPs I sat between an English guy and a Scottish guy, as soon as they heard each other's accents they started talking **** and it got pretty nasty. I can only imagine if one of them had been black or different in any way. Is Spain really that much worse than everywhere else?

Ah, you see, that's different...Scots people wear skirts and shag sheep and are therefore deserving of mocking and scorn, whereas the stuff being hurled at Lewis was RACIAL...
Unfortunately this sort of racism is widespread in Europe, and is heard alot in football..I was just hoping that it would stay away from F-1...
I'd like to read of a condemation of racist behavior coming from Alonso, but he fell so far down my respect list last season that I have no confidence of that happening.

There are morons in every country and culture. We certainly have no shortage here. It's up to the track officials to control/eject them and if they can't, or refuse to, then that venue should suffer accordingly.
Besides, we need more F1 races in third world countries without any history of racing...

So what's the proper etiquette for a response? How do you insult a Spaintard? Do they wrestle in España? :p

One of Ank's fellow countrymen, who is currently playing cricket for his country against us here, has been in a bunch of hot water for taunting one of our players, who was actually born in the West Indies. I guess one dark skinned person calling another a "monkey" is rather ironic. :saywhat:
A monkey? At least he didn't call him a Canuck (http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/WeirdNews/2008/01/29/4799585-sun.html). ;)

Andrew Symonds was born in Birmingham in England...;)
I must admit it was rather strange to hear that the most vociferous and rankerous users of the sledge were having a good whinge about the Indians...Tony Greig agreed as well saying that they'd better be careful about just how loudly the cried about it for fear of destroying their future opponents with howls of laughter...
(For those of you unaware the Aussies are some of the most vicious trash talkers in professional sport...Really unpleasant stuff...although once in a while that get it handed back to them...as was the case for Glenn McGrath after he said to a batsman who had just missed one of his deliveries "Why are you so fat?" The batsman replied "'Cos everytime I shag your wife she gives me a cookie"...)

There is a difference between telling someone he has poor footwork and can't bat for nuts, and racialy abusing him. Or in Hamiltons case, dressing up like the Alonso "fans" did is over stepping the mark by a long way.
And get it right. It's not trash talk, it's mental disintegration (http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/engvaus/content/story/213804.html) (linky). It never worked on me, I knew I was hopeless and a lousy batsman. Having someone stand close and tell me seemed a waste of time and poor field positioning.
Personally, I think the whole sledging thing has gone too far and for too long. Open up the stump mic's like they have the Ref's wired in football and all this crap will disappear in the time it takes one team sponser to make a phone call.
Eddo Brandes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddo_Brandes), chicken farmer. Played for Zimbabwe. That was a great comeback. I bet McGrath shut his mouth after that.

Hamilton's a pansy. There's only one way to deal with mouthy fans. Kick them in the chest with soccer cleats and then punch them in the head.

Obviously racially insulting Hamilton is unacceptable, but this thing was blown out of proportion when you consider it was a few people doing it out of 50,000. Every last political and media group in Britain, for whom racism is the worst crime in the world, was all over this preaching lessons to Spaniards about their society and culture, making implications that they are racist and backward. That is not fair, and threatening to pull the Spanish GPs over this is a joke. The people who did it were not the British kind of lout they were painted as, they were just dumbasses who thought this was an acceptable way to jeer and insult the rival (which is part of sports culture in Spain)
