31 has a nice ring to it, eh Tony?
Two cars short.

11 Rows is the tradition not,33 cars.
As long as 22 cars make it the tradition lives on!

You are one mean anti-lemming. :)
11 rows of thiry one elevenths?
What kind of tradition is that?
Used to be 11 rows of 3.
Drivers will continue practicing Friday. Included on the schedule is practice and qualifying for the Freedom 100, an Infiniti Pro Series race at the track on Saturday afternoon.
I'm sure the IPS race will will be a big draw

Somewhere I read they had the temerity to ask five bucks for the race ticket.
Somebody's head is not in the right place.

Better go this year, they'll probably raise next years prices to $10. Of course, the big draw next year will be former IRL driver, who's fully recovered from his injuries in the 2003 500, AJ IV. :p

What's funny is that when they have an IPS race on the same day as an IRL race, 80% of the IRL ticket buyers can't be bothered to show up early to see it...

Are you sure about that?
What Im sure about, all kiding aside, is this. It would have made a heck of alot more sense to hold this race as a lead in to the Brickyard 400. It would play in front of many more fans, IMO.

Half of those folks count count anyway, so it doesn't really matter if there's 28, 31 or 33 cars to them.

Yes.
Maybe we should just think about the Indy 500 the same way we think about "sell outs."
There, the race is "sold out" even though there's empty seats. Indy is the same way, there are 70 entries, so the field is full. It is just that not all of the cars show up.
