Welcome back.

Thanks for your patience during our adventure. The bad news first: things got a little strange during the OS updates. We had some system crashing that I'm not positive has been resolved. I think it's fixed, but with no console access it's hard to say for sure. If we should disappear again for a while you'll know what happened.

Now the good news, we're back and I think everything is intact. You'll notice that we're now running a release candidate of the latest version of the forum software. It should be fairly stable since it's expected to go gold pretty much as-is this week.

The new version has lots of nice new features, many of which are turned off because we're not 12 year old school girls. Well, most of us anyway. So the sparkles, ponies, and rainbows features are not available, but we're allowing some new things like profile pictures, personal photo albums, and profile comments. Have fun with them but keep in mind that all the usual forum rules apply to these new features.

We have also reorganized our forums. The current lineup is experimental. We'll review as time goes by to see if things need adjustment. Once we're comfortable with the arrangement we'll decide whether to move old posts out of The Others forum to the newer forums. Your feedback is welcome.

There are still changes in progress. For now, chat is AWOL until we can find a more reliable solution. Also, please let us know if you see things that don't look right or are not working.
