NYSE sponsors Marco's car for the year, right. Now why would you pay for the season sponsorship if that didn't include the biggest race of the season. I could understand it when his car was sponsored by Gilette in St. Pete but why in the world would you pay for the entire season, without paying for indy? Their logo doesn't even appear on the car! This is the race that gets the highest ratings, the biggest attendance, and the most prestige. The rest of the season is nothing compared to that. Without indy the IRL would have absolutely nothing (and they would be a slower, uglier version of '98 cart). IMHO, this makes no sense at all.

Just a guess here, but BB and Gillette (P&G) are both on the NYSE. (So is Viacom). Maybe that's the type of deal they have with the NYSE.

I mean, other than that, what would the NYSE be selling?

I never understood the point of the NYSE renewing their sponsorship. I see no value in the NYSE sponsoring motorsports.

Well, Indiana Jones movies are usually filled with chase scenes, flying stunts, fire and explosions . . . watch the race on the 25th. :)

I think NYSE's presence on the car has been condensing for a while.
