Bourdais in 14th. I think he gained when Vettel and Sutil made pit stops.

Out:
Fisichella
Nakajima

Kovalainen should pass a few more cars as an early pit put him in the back. His time right now would place him in 6th. So he's pretty fast.

Vettel just pit two times.

On track pass for the lead. Hamilton now in first.

No way! Hamilton by Massa. He'll never make it last, though. No fuel.

Bourdais now in 17th.

Well, forget about that. Sebastien is in the gravel. Another safety car.

Well that was a nice bit of excitement. Glock and Kovaleinen on track action.

I wonder what McLaren's strategy would've been if Raikkonen got up to 3rd before the first pit stop? Hamilton was flying out there on the lighter fuel. It was pretty cool, but at the end, I think they didn't want to chance a safety car.

It seems some bit in the rear suspension failed which sent him off.
That and a dead fuel rig made for a wonderful weekend for Toro Rosso:shakehead

The track is what all of them should be. A good strategic race with decent passing. More evidence that getting rid of traction and launch control was brilliant.

Was Bridgestone really responsible for McLaren's three stops? Seems strange that only one team was pushing the tires to failure, and the solution was to push them harder by going faster.

The tires most likely were, but not Bridgestone. They provided the same two dry compounds to all teams for the race. They have four total dry compounds for the season. McLaren just found that tire combination and number of pit stops was the best strategy for them.
