Vista Style Sidebar for XP

Takes some tweaking of a registry file before it's stable, but it's fun to play with for a few minutes. At least now those Vista snobs at Starbucks will stop snickering at my old XP desktop. Oh, wait, nevermind, they're all on Macs. :)


There are many of these Vista style sidebars for XP, the Thoosje seems to have the most gadgets and skins.

I've been a fan of Samurize. They have a Vista skin that comes pretty darn close.

Vista snobs can laugh at my XP laptop all they want, until they BSOD, and I can laugh and snicker at them (and yes, I do see more BSOD's with Vista than I have had with my XP laptop and desktop over last 5 years combined)

The thoosje sidebare decided to throw exceptions and required a few hard boots which pissed me off. Uninstalled. total uptime 24hours. NEXT!:)

Dude, I dint tell ya to install the pr0n widget. :p Seriously, I've been using it since it was in Google Labs w/o any issues. Mebbe my dorkness is > than yer dorkness. ;)

I don't. Haven't in years. Especially IE 5. Must be some temp folder for windows.
