Actually there is a very nice story that came out of it.

For those who watched it, you know she said what her website URL "would be". Well of course, within a few hours her partner Haley's dad, who is a NJ State Police Cybercrime Detective, checked and someone was already squatting on it.

"Crap" we collectively said. Then a bit later Trevor actually went to the site and looked more closely at it and saw that it had a message for Melissa on it saying he had grabbed the site for her and only wanted his Go Daddy fee or a piece of jewelry for it in exchange.

After a litter back and forth with Detective Johnson to convince the guy we were the real parents, he gladly turned it over. So there is goodness on the internet, or so it would seem.

Anyway, of course she sent the link to her customer list and she will be busy this week with a few orders.

Doylestown has a great arts festival in September - she needs a booth with as "As Seen on TV" sign. ;)

Thanks Elmo. Great idea. My folks went to it last year and had a great time.

The site will likely be up in a few weeks. Her friend is on vacation. In the meanwhile, Mom is helping her improve her logo and graphics and make new business cards.

A lot of what she does is actually special ordered. Its a "This is the color of my bridesmaid dresses. Can you do something to match?", or a "That's a pretty bead. What can you do with it?" kind of thing. She likes it that way, but I don't know how that translated to a website biz.

A funny thing happened on Friday. She may have helped me close some business. I was presenting myself and colleagues to the top HR guy at a major financial services company to do coaching for their top 150 executives in the US. He seemed very interested in our individual entrepreneurial heritages so I included my daughter's story in my own. He loved it and asked for a link and he has since gotten back to me with his own story about sharing it with his daughters. And he now is interested in more higher end, personal coaching than the programmatic coaching he originally envisioned. Much more fun.
