The Brazilian slammed into the barriers at the right-hand Stowe corner after spinning at 130mph on oil laid down by Renault driver Fernando Alonso.
The Ferrari man hit the tyre wall rear-first at the same corner where Michael Schumacher broke his leg in 1999, but emerged unscathed and immediately chatted with Alonso at the side of the track.
The red flags came out as marshals removed the wreckage and cleared oil from the track in an 18 minute stoppage.

It was quite the snap around.
"It was a big crash, but that's part of the game and I have had much worse accidents in my career. I didn't see any flags and I had approached the corner in the usual way and then I totally lost control of the car under braking. I tried to slow down, but the impact was still pretty violent. The most important thing is that we were able to fix the car and in the end we didn't lose that much time as it wasn't planned for me to do many laps in the morning. I want to thank all the lads for the work they did: they were fantastic and they didn't stop for a moment right up to the very end of the second session.
Trulli and Glock are the ones that need to worry with wings falling off the car:eek:

 to Massa. You avoided beaching the car, and that's about all you accomplished. :D

I thought he did a respectable impression of a Top today.

I guess Ferrari doesn't expect good wet weather driving from Massa.
Luca di Montezemolo seems more preoccupied with the decision that left Kimi out on used up intermediates unable to contest the race. Missing Ross Brawn about now I'm guessing....

Not only that, but then Rubens is unlapping himself and they decide not to throw on full wets.
