My Road to Indy, a Narrative by Len Sutton
This was a really fun book to read. Written by a survivor of a very rough and tumble era of Champcar racing. Len was also quite the competitor having won three Champcar races himself.
The narrative approach works well with such thoughtful comments by the author. Len Sutton did it all, Champcar, Midgets, Sprints and Stockers. The photographs, some never seen before, are very, very good. I found myself re reading the events of the 1964 "500" as Len was led through the corner by McDonald and trailed by Sach's... lets chalk one up for hearing it from the source...
Len's honesty and integrity shine through in one of the most touching and memorable acknowledgments in any book that I have ever read.
