View Full Version : All politics aside... who's going to win?
First out: Quattro (no-brainer)
Winner: Robby Gordon (best Indy ride he's ever had)

I predict a first lap accident that takes out Andretti, Ray, and Nakano.
I think Dixon will take the victory.

Count me in. :D
Other than that, Jeemy. And don't give it to me, but wouldn't mind Gil deFerran.
Other than that..... Who cares.:(

I'm with Koby. I hope it's some short, unappealing, yellow-ass JAP.
I know BeerFart's natural instinct will be to throw the yellow when it looks like this might be REMOTELY possible. But how's he gonna do it with a couple of ugly, buck-toothed, bespeckled, slanty-eyed bastards in morning coats and top hats looking over his shoulder?
They're paying the bills.
edit...morning coats...not mourning

Just remember this: The yellow does not begin when the yellow light comes on, nor does it start when the yellow flag is thrown. It doesn't even start when Barnhart instructs it to be thrown.
It begins either when the yellow light on Castro-Neves's dash comes on, or when Barnhart first thinks about going yellow, whichever situation is more favorable to an irl regular.

I had a morning coat once. I kept wearing it at night and my mom took it away from me.
Andretti wins. The fix is in. Notice how all of his cars out qualified him? He didn't want to give it away. ;)
Andretti gets the call for all he's done.
Took his team, plus 2 other drivers from Cart to the earl.
Dissed Cart every chance he got, on the way out the door.
Gladly endangered his 63 year old father by letting him in a crapwagon car so the lagging media interest in the speedway would have something to talk about.
Has basically become a real nice guy who can't stop singing Tony's praises.
Is trying to convince old Cart fans of his to send him their memorabilia, for free, so he can prop it up in the speedway. He and Tony will probably draw mustaches on everyones pictures before they send them back in your SSAE.
If that doesn't score brownie points with the Hulmans, I don't know what will.
Nobody can win.
TG has broken everything. :(

I'd like to see Vasser, but I'm thinking Gordon.
Future CART driver, (I hope), Dan Wheldon.

Perhaps you didn't read between the lines.
Since you thought I was joking, I'll explain. All politics aside, it doesn't matter who wins. As pchall said, Indy is broken. It doesn't matter who "wins."

I'm going with Tora.

nrc and Ziggy, I actually laughed out loud!
None other than Sam "THE MAN" Hornish.
Chebby will get the win and Hornish will be able to be on the Dork Warner trophy before leaving to greener, DEI pastures.
Of course I'm hoping someone in Toyota power (besides HCN)
Top choices: Scott or Gil
Would love to see Jimmy or Robby G. if it isn't a Toyota.
Please please please let Michael be out before halfway.

Kanaan or Dixon would be my money picks.
Robby and Yimmy are who I'll be cheering for.
Indy is broke, so is CART.
But I can't bring myself to join the nascarnation.

tora's actually got a chance.
but you guys have me thinking that the fix IS IN now. andretti with his rev limiter set 1 - 2k higher than everybody else will blow his honda though and slow on the backstretch, so i'm gonna stick with my gut and hope tora gets his head on dat dare borg warmer.

You wanna bet? Your shiggy against my tora. If shiggy wins, I'll wear a "let's get shiggy widit" shirt at Mid-Ohio. If tora wins, I expect to meet you wearing the "TORA TORA TORA!"
deal?:D
I'll go with the same guy I picked last year.
Because he's just that good...

All jokes aside, watch Tora Sunday.
Nunn has had him in the 228/229 groove 20 laps at a time in raceday trim last week. He'll screw up sometime during the 200 laps but he might lead a bunch along the way.
Another Nunn car to watch is Barron, I had a few beers with one of the engineers on that effort last night, they are very confident in Alex and feel they can run for the win.

Hey Koby!! I didn't get to read your post until today, but if he would have won I would have worn the shirt in your honor! But now that the IRL season is over we'll have to wait unitl next year to see if we scream "TORA, TORA, TORA" or we start rapping "Get Shiggy Wit It"
