I hate when that happens.
I can fix it. My dad is a TV repair man and has an awesome set of tools. :)
And the driver walks away.

An excellent example of why you should not go racing unless you can afford to do EVERYTHING right when you build the car.

That grass area is filled with RVs & campers during big race weekends:eek:
Doesn't seem like much of a 'trap' to me. :saywhat: :irked:
There's a reason they make the traps so deep:

Side note: look @ how full the stands and grounds are in the Esses.

Only Spicoli should post that. :)
But still preferrable to the huge dirt emankment (!) that was originally there to CONTAIN the cars!:shakehead My mind tends to blot out sad moments...who was the Frenchman in that monster Le Car that plowed straight in there years ago? He was a heckuva driver and really needed the beach back then.:(
The track is banked enough there - Did he get just enough of a launch from the track to go nose into the gravel?

Patrick Jacquemart crashed an R5 Turbo into the old bridge embankment at Mid-Ohio's turn 1 during a practice day in 1981.
OK. Probably got my dirt piles mixed up. Thought it was the one where the beach is today. No way anyone was going to clear that pile but it sure was going to stop them.
