Some folks have implied that Lilly sponsorship was in doubt at Newman Haas next year, but they've got Lilly on the car for testing. Anyone know if this is a done deal?

Maybe just last years car, possibly testing parts? If Lilly does come back, I certainly hope the car gets a better color scheme and design.

Is PLN still supposed to be spokesperson for Cialis when it hits the market? That was supposed to be part of the Lilly deal if memory serves.

It takes two minutes to remove the decals from the car. If Lilly wasn't funding it, the decals wouldn't be on it.

At least that's how I see it.

Very true. NH didn't waste any time last year getting kmart off the car during the preseason when their checks dried up.

The deal is already done, or still in negotiations. But bruno's helmet clashes with the paint scheme. Can't have that, can we?

Here's what the car looked like in Mexico City:

Notice that the magazines, Havoline and Toyota decals have all dissapeared. That leads me to beleive that any decal still on the car is there for a reason.

Well, here's what they have at cart.com concerning junky's test at Sebring this week.

Brazilian Bruno Junqueira participated in his first test day with Newman/Haas Racing yesterday at the 1.65-mile road course at Sebring International Raceway at was able to complete more than 250 trouble-free miles in the new Lilly Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone package that the team will prepare for the 2003 Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford season.

I think WB and I have no comment.

But I have to agree with DaveL.

It is, after all, Newman/Haas Racing.

Though after last season's performance, wouldn't Jourdain be the best driver for the car?

Started off strong, but kind of... went away at the finish...

True. Didn't Fittipaldi start off the season soft and then got stronger as the season progressed?

Being a typical male he left when he was done. :D
