Those guys were getting a little long in the tooth. When a couple of drivers that raced with Pirro in F1 are watching their sons race in f1, you know it's time to call it a day.

It would be neat if they picked an American driver as well. There are quite a few good ones around sportscar racing; Gurney, Fogarty, Long, Plumb, Lally, etc.
