Thanks everyone. As you know the birthday is spent on the Goldy enjoying the racing but this year....

There was some good racing with the Aussie cars and the V8s looked good following the leader but the sleds were boring. :( I really felt quite sad after seeing so many greats tear up that track in the past, still remember seeing Gil putting it in the same place lap after lap.

We did a bit of wandering around the track and the sleds seemed fast in a straight line but are slow getting the power done. And now I know what you mean when you say "they make you ears bleed." They seriously do.

Sadly the whole event seemed flat and althouh we had a great time, eating, drinking and looking at the girlies ;) it was my last trip. It's not worth spending so much money if the passion has gone.

Cheers! I remember when, at birthday time I used to be high as a kite, have eyeballs on stalks, girls all around me...well you get the idea. :D But then someone killed Surfers and like most of you here, the racing is no more or a shadow of what it once was.

To be on the Goldy with the family to watch and hear those Champcars on the 24th...I'll never forget.
